The proof is in the pudding... "Thank you Cre8asite"
"As a result of acting on some of the great and actionable advice I got, our qualified site traffic has more than doubled, and our sales are up dramatically vs. last year. Because we've gotten so much more business from our website, my wife has had to put off the Ebay component of our business to keep up with order fulfillment on our retail site."
Robert Clough of SearchEngineGuide has launched an Information Service. I really like Robert. He works quietly in the background of SEO-Land offering support and encouragement. His website has been a trusted resource for years. Good to see you still going strong Robert!
One of the areas I test for in usability evaluations for websites are links, labels and navigation structure. This article by Jared Spool is a favorite and may shed some light for you or offer inspiration >>> Getting Confidence from Lincoln - "What makes links work?"
Do you ever see things that make no sense whatsoever and you wonder how in the heck the people in charge let it remain there, or how it got to be there in the first place? Then you'll like This is Broken - "Monitoring the customer experience, by Mark Hurst."
Now here's something you won't see everyday and probably could care less about, but *I* got a real kick out of it so I took a picture. You can see Eric Itzkowitz's website (which is jam packed with SEO resources and companies) here >>> SEOlist.com

Do you use Opera? If so, Cre8asiteForums has Questions for Opera Users. Developers may be interested in the answers too.

The following has nothing whatsoever to do with SEO or Usability...
When the truth doesn't hurt, it can be really gosh darned hilarious! HUH?
If you're smothered by a control freak >>> Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About
This next part is about usability....
I've long been curious about the human response to computers, the 'Net, websites...hence my passion for the user experience. In Cre8asiteForums I raised some questions and started a conversation about navigation, culture influence and what, if anything, is different about how we all navigate websites based on where we live. You can join or read the discussion here >>> Navigation and International Differences?
Okay. Back to the not so serious stuff...
Benefits of waking up early / staying up late? I won't post the URLs to the wee hour of the morning "I'm so drunk right now" posts we get at Cre8asiteForums. But you're free to find them yourself.
Microsoft has launched a new server. As if the other versions worked.

Web Rank’s “Search Engine Compatibility and the Top 100 New Zealand Company Web Sites” has hit the media outlets and may be surprising to some but not to me. I worked with many web design teams or companies that don't have a working knowledge of SEO nor are willing to incorporate optimization techniques into their pages. One web design company designed their sites completely as graphics! No text. The content is first converted to an image and then put on the page.
Kalena Jordan, of WebRank, says "Websites are often a very large expense for these companies, ranging from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars. To invest such a massive amount of time, money and effort into an online presence and not ensuring it can be found [in search engines] is like constructing a storefront without any doors." Never gave it much thought before today, but some health clubs in the US are forced for ban cell phones because the new ones that have cameras have been used in locker rooms and have become a privacy issue~! Watch your butt out there.
Yet another people-powered search engine has been launched. Sniff out Netnose.com
"Many of the "PDF Usability Crimes" you cite have nothing to do with Acrobat or PDF but are the result of poor design choices. Most of same arguments about poor navigation, large file sizes, and excessive text blocks can be used to describe poorly designed HTML as well. There are some very valid reasons for using PDF's online as opposed to HTML." Read more in "To: Dr. Jakob Nielsen From: Robert McDaniels, Adobe Systems"
User personas are valuable tools for usability testing during a build process. Cre8pc.com website evaluations use "user characters". This new article talks about why this approach is useful. Personas: Setting the Stage for Building Usable Information Sites By Alison J. Head
Here's one for ya. Someone searched the Cre8pc.com site for "tummy tuck". Ooohhhhkayyyyyeeeee...

SearchEngineBlog is running an interesting article >>> Why Are Customers So Indecisive? By Sean D'Souza of PsychoTactics.com
I'm not indecisive. I ALWAYS spend too much money at Target.
She's back! My friend Kalena has fired up her SE blog again and found herself in a pile of a mess at Ihelpyou forums. Don't worry Kal. 'Net memories are incredibly short! Search Engine News Blog
