All the more reason to understand your website visitor and optimize for search engines.... WebSideStory's StatMarket division (www.statmarket.com), a leading source of data on global Internet user trends has released new information claiming search engine referrals nearly doubled worldwide. Click on >>> Search Engines Continue to be an Important Method For Discovering New Sites and Content. Quote: "As of Thursday, March 6, 2003, search sites accounted for more than 13.4 percent of global referrals, up from 7.1 percent the previous year."
Me too. Kalena is mad, and with good reason. Seems hotshot PPC engine Overture is in bed with scumware king Gator. I'll let her blog and research do the talking. Click on >>> Overture To Partner With "ScumWare
Ok. This is just too funny. Usability Experts are from Mars, Graphic Designers Are From Venus. (Thanks Peter!)
It's so nice to watch others do my ranting for me. "I wish Google would remove the page ranking from the toolbar because it's really being used for the wrong purposes."

Roogle for RSS...sounds like a new jingle for a commerical. Maybe a car or hair product? But, it's a new search engine, apparently in BETA, that searches RSS feeds. Click on >>> Roogle to investigate.
Disney to focus more on Mickey, less on search engine technology. They shipped Go.com to Google, which will raise the back hairs of Overture's top execs, and are dumping Infoseek. As if anyone even remembers the latter engine...Click on >>> Disney open to Infoseek sale and Disney passes Go.com to Google
Reading from your monitor? Sure hope you can read this. I better read this article to make sure. Click on >>> Reading Text Online.
Quote: "In the November 2002 issue of the HFI newsletter, Bob Bailey discussed the research on optimal line length when reading text on a monitor. He concluded that users read faster if the line lengths are longer (up to 10 inches), but users tend to prefer lines that are moderately long (4 to 5 inches)."
JAVA impressed or frustrated? There's a poll at the Cre8asiteForums asking if you like or dislike JAVA, and allows room to explain why you feel you do, and if you'd add a JAVA application to your own website. Click on >>> JAVA Dislike or Like
