No Means No

Having ended my relationship with AOL, whose basic package I used for QA testing only, I've been bombarded with letters begging me to reconsider and a disk for their new version. Should I be suspicious that my little $4.98 per month is THAT important to them?

Today's sad news: Can't think of anything
Today's good news: Still thinking...
Latest adventure: Getting to know my next door neighbor, who is a police officer and whose dog, Lewis, I take out for a "potty break" when his owner's shift means the poor dog is stuck in the house too long.
Believe it or not: I am making a turkey this year for Thanksgiving, as I do every year. Haven't burned down the house yet.

Happy Thanksgiving Holiday to my US friends.

Rev up Those Keywords

Prime Google AdWords Keywords Still Ignored by Many Businesses by Andrew Goodman talks about those words that are still a bargain over in Google Adwords vs more expensive at Overture.

If people search for "doodads", do they also search for "whatamacallits" and "thingamachigs"???

Size Matters

I'm always being asked what the perfect font size is. If you want to know what people recommend, here's an informative thread to check out -

WebmasterWorld.com - Whats the smallest text you can read comfortably?

Hey Me Too!

When I was a journalism student doing some research for an article I learned that journalists have "no sex life". This didn't quite concern me that much when I read it because I didn't have one anyway, but I did wonder if I wanted to continue my dream to be the next Barbara Walters.

Now, according to this thread SEO professionals have no social life and get little exercise because they're glued to their computers. Hey, I can fit in sprints to the mailbox for those incoming checks quite well thank you very much. Thanks Kalena for the lead on this one...

Today's sad news: I took down my personal blog. Why have two when I can bore you with this one?
Today's good news: My daughter made Distinguished Honor Roll.
Latest adventure: My son invented a contraption that picks up his sister's bobby pins that lie around the house and a cat bite landed a family member in the hospital for days! Turns out a cat bite can be highly infectious.
Believe it or Not: They say it will snow on Wed.
