How to Design Products That Sell Online and Do It Right The First Time
:: Tuesday, July 11, 2006 ::
I was fortunate enough to get a preview peek at a new online publication on ecommerce. It's given me hope that someday, I too, can sell you a pony online.
The publication is 40 Ecommerce Tactics, it's lengthy and a page turner. Okay, you may snore, but for someone with little background in marketing before diving online headfirst, this how-to is worth an investment. (You get 7 tactics for free, to preview it before you buy.) It's a downloadable publication, so that it can be updated and kept current.
Reading 40 Ecommerce Tactics has done what I was hoping it would. It has me thinking about trying new things. Actionable advice is provided so readers know just what to do and when to do it. It's not a glossy, "You too can be a millionaire in 3 days", publication. Rather, I found it to be educational, reader friendly and the type of guide I could refer to often.

"This report exceeded my expectations. After reading it a
few times, I went through and highlighted those parts of your actionable
advice that I want to implement right away... I ended up highlighting
most of the report. Stellar job. I won't hesitate to recommend you
to one of my own clients." -- Andy

"I have implemented the most obvious changes and I suppose the fact that we've seen an immediate increase
in sales/conversions is no coincidence. I'd highly recommend your service to anyone running a serious web based business."

"As soon as we get our hands on one of her usability
studies, my clients and I have a better understanding of what needs
to be done with their sites to make them the best they can be from their
site visitors' perspective."
