Warmest Greetings,
Where to Submit Your Blog and Talk To Other Bloggers
:: Thursday, September 08, 2005 ::
If you own a blog, one of your chores is to submit it around and present it to the world. For a global debut of your precious property, you may not just want to submit it, but also like the opportuntiy to meet with other like-minded blogging souls. At LSBlogs, you can do this. You can also locate blog development tools, locate other forums (in addition to the new one LSBlogs has launched), and search for the mulitude of other blog directories and search engines available to you.
I like a place that does everyhing and offers everything in one shot. Even better is a welcoming environment to learn more or, in this case, introduce one's blog. Says LSBlogs owner, Ken (aka "kensplace") in many SEO/SEM/WebDesign forums:
"The forum has been set up so people in the blogosphere can meet each other, talk about blogs, how to promote them, technical problems etc. You can promote your blog, but only in the sig, or get to meet other bloggers posts.
If a blogger happens to have a helpful blog, and it fits in with the topic, then they can mention it. With a bit of luck, it will become a great place for bloggers to learn more about blogging, meet each other, share tips, problems and solutions." Only about a year old, and still growing, this blog directory is tended to with care. Ken even offers an accessibility note that says, essentially, if he didn't make it comfortable for everyone to use, let him know and he'll try to correct that. I admire that willingness to make folks welcome. It's almost as dandy as the free blog submission itself.
Where and How to Submit To Directories
Whether you are an individual or SEO/SEM Practioner, hand submitting to Directories is a tedious process. An affordable alternative, that saves you time as well as it offers a no-baloney submission process, is available from the SEO Company.
The Web Directory Submission application is budget-wise and your URL(s) are handled by experienced people skilled in Directory submission. Says owner Bob Mutch,
"We open accounts with each directory on your behalf, request new categories if required, and provide you with a HTML status sheet (see sample directory submissions status sheet) that lists the pages that have links to your Web site. We don't just tell you have links -- we show you where they are." Bob also has something tools fanatics will want to check out. It's his SEO Tools section. He's creating enhancements and expanding on this project but you can go there now and roll around in a meadow of tools that should keep you occupied for weeks and buggy-eyed glued to your monitors into the wee hours at night.
I know you do this. Don't lie.
