Warmest Greetings,
Search Engine Optimization & Marketing Reading for Today's Trip to the (Insert Your Word Here.)
:: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 ::
Today I gleefully point you to a place loaded with stuff to print and read on the plane, train, bathroom, or heck, it's 2004, why print when you can lug around the laptop? or show off your latest handheld toy?
E-Marketing News features a knock out article on the booming business of SEO by Mike Grehan.
Follow that by a shocking (but not totally unexpected) announcement from SEMPO board member, Christine Churchill, in Stepping Away From SEMPO.
Blog keywords are addressed by Amanda G. Watlington. She writes:
"Effective keyword research for blogs requires clearly defining the blog's audience in advance of content creation. Before starting to develop the blog, you should have done some thinking about the audience: Who do you expect to read your blog? What do you expect them to get from it? What are your audience's "hot-button" keywords? Since most blogs are highly topical, they intrinsically have tightly controlled vocabularies."
Google AdWords advertising drives me nuts, but Andrew Goodman writes about it in a book, which he keeps updated, and in this newsletter begins a 2-part series about PPC best practice. All the more power to him, and thank goodness he cares (and dares) to keep up with it all.
e-marketing-news "is published selectively on a when it's ready basis". If you haven't subscribed yet, now's your chance. Every issue is professionally presented, written and reviewed. And, the subjects are current. Can't beat that for free expertise when you need it.
Or... the excuse to write a really quick blog post by pointing to someone else's perfectly fantastic stuff.
(Personal note to Barry (RustryBrick). There's only one small sliver of the cake left. I'm about to go devour it right now.)
