Warmest Greetings,
The Mechanics of An Update or Help My Site Is Gone!
:: Monday, January 26, 2004 ::
"Help my website is gone!" seems to be the crazed screaming mantra repeated in every SEO related forums on the planet by those who rely on one search engine for all their marketing. So, I decided to run my own test by typing in "Cre8pc sex goddess" and sure enough, my reputation is still intact and the SERPS list me as number one. So how come I'm doing fine and others are crying in their Fruit Loops?
Well, for starters, anyone who is not a god or goddess may find a great read here in Cre8asite Forums called An Update on Updates for 2004
"There are a lot of new folks coming in who do not know what's happening, and there are others who do know what's up, but who are trying to speculate on what changes are being made a bit prematurely."
True Google SERP addicts can network with others like yourselves in Jan 24 What have they done now.
"Well written sites which have kept an eye on ongoing SEO issues should not or virtually not be affected. "
Well written sites. Could that possibly be the same thing as SEO Copywriting, which according to John Scott in SERound, is "dead"?
What is the difference between a well written site and one with 3000 sub-domain pages pointing to it? I dunno. Could it be something like unique content or useful purpose or originality perhaps?
The weekend at Cre8asite Forums contained some odd threads about how to do business. Turns out that being unethical, lying to customers, stealing other website content, intimidating, being ruthless, misrepresenation and biting the neck of all humans to drink their blood are all okay for one guy, who even posted his website URL. Would hate to be a client linked to THAT website roster! There are three threads on reputation, ethics, etc. in the Business and Marketing section. You may want to hold your nose when you read some of it.
Other:
Remove Fido now. Lycos Communities disbanded
"In a statement on its Web site the outfit explained: "After February 1, 2004, Lycos Communities - including Chat, Message Boards, Clubs and Image Galleries - will be discontinued. All text, photos, messages and other content relating to Lycos Communities will be removed from the Lycos Network and will not be saved."
It's a lie. I love my vacuum cleaner. One in three Americans hate mobile phones
And to think Bill Gates wants them all to have computers. World Population Reaches 6.4 Billion: What To Do?
Sir Knight Bill, by the way. U.K. grants Bill Gates honorary knighthood
This just in. A true link control freak. Exclusive Linking. Reminds me of the guy who wanted to pay up front to put an ad about his site on every page of my site. I never much went for those "give me everything you have exclusively" types. I like to play the field.
Which is why I'm Cre8pc The Sex Goddess.
I'm of illogical mind today. All I could think of were really sick reasons why anyone would want to use World 66 Visited States map. Unfortunately they didn't do performance testing I guess, because their servers can't seem to handle the load.
