The Christmas Dog.
Last Friday I was "working" while lying on the couch with the laptop on my stomach when suddenly I heard my kids screaming from the family room downstairs at the dog, who wouldn't let go of something. It sounded urgent by the second, judging by their intense shift to "MOM! Coda won't let go!", so I flew out of the couch, tripped over the laptop plug, flipping the laptop into the air and crashing onto the floor. I lost my balance and landed with thud on the floor, which caused the kids to change to "MOM! Are you okay!!!???" Well, yes. But my ankle bone caught something, maybe the furniture, swelled up and turned into a nice bruise. All weekend long the dog kept happily bashing into me or my bad ankle, re-injuring it so much that it hurts all the time now and I've been limping. He's an 8 month old Golden Retriever, did I mention that? These dogs are SO HAPPY ALL THE TIME. They never stop moving unless they drop from sheer exhaustion.
But boy did Coda get my goat on Saturday. I made 8 loaves of bread and had them lined up on the kitchen table cooling off. Every year we have a weekend long holiday baking blow out where we bake a zillion things all at once. Anyway, Coda happened to be pounding into the house after being outside playing and he gracefully, in one great movement, walked past the table and bit off the end of one of the loaves of bread. I screamed, the kids screamed and my mate yelled. A friend of mine wants us to come over tonight for a holiday get together and says we should "bring the puppy" too. She hasn't seen him a while...
And that brings me to today.
Jakob Nielsen wrote another Top 10 List, which I covered for the SEORoundtable here >>> Nielsen's Latest Usability Top Ten. If you feel the need to comment on it (and he does seem to get folks riled up!), I started a thread at Cre8asiteForums >>> Nielsen's Top Ten
Indexing of dynamic URLS is always a good question. Here's the latest >>> Indexing of dynamic pages
"As a good rule of safety for Google indexing, try to avoid using the characters 'ID' in any URLs, because Google may regard them as an indication that they could be sessionIDs. That's advice direct from one of the engineers who make Google function."
Have you seen this? Petsburg
I wonder if they have a virtual doggie "time-out"?
