Warmest Greetings,
:: Wednesday, October 01, 2003 ::
There's many ways to run a forums and many styles of moderating. It's not easy to be a moderator for Cre8asiteForums because there's no one leader. Sure, they call it "Kim's forums" but that's mostly a term of endearment. In fact, I'm not comfortable pushing my weight around and I hate power trips. My way of "leading" is to let everyone, moderators and guests, try stuff.
Sometimes a test is fun. Take Peabody, for example. Peabody is a little colored ball; birthed by two artists from Cre8asiteForums working on a new logo. Every once in awhile Peabody makes an appearance. When Peabody appears, it's a great time for playful people. One day, not long ago, our logo appeared squished and the guest who saw this inquired with a post. This spawned the telling of Logo looks squished (The Truth About Peabody)
It's nice to have something to talk about when news from the Usabilty and SEO worlds is slow. Everyone's talking about Kaltix and Google. Yawn.
Holy Zeus, gossip and rumors...Check out Peter's New blips on the radar, Oct 1 blog entry.
I'm sorta brain dead today, so I'll leave you with this scary thought for today:
"I will continue to stand up for what's right and to defend humans from overly complex technology." Jakob Nielsen's Alertbox, September 29, 2003:Alertbox #200
