Warmest Greetings,

Blame it on Isabel...
It's been a weird week. Now, I'm cleaning up the damage to my property due to the effects of Tropical Storm Isabel. Lost some trees and shrubs. One part of a tree has fallen on my mailbox. Although we spent all day yesterday preparing for it, and moving things to safety, Isabel's winds managed to throw around things anyway. The pool is filled with leaves and debris. Lines are down, both electric and phone, but outages are sporadic.
The odd thing about these storms is how lovely the sky looks afterwards. The sun is shining brightly. The winds are still gusty, and gray clouds loom overhead once in awhile, but only appear to threaten rain. So far, they haven't dumped anything. The sun prevails and the winds push the clouds across the sky like a broom sweeping away dust bunnies. And it's warm. It feels really good outside.
Schools are closed and so are many roads. I took the kids for a ride to see the area and it's a mess everywhere. But lots and lots of people are out and about, cleaning up and repairing damage.
Which is where I'm heading next. To work outside and put things back to normal again.
See you next week!
