Think online shopping is unsafe or for techno-geeks and lazy people? Think again! US Ecommerce To Hit $230 Billion - Forrester
"According to Forrester, it's about $230 billion. In its latest release, the researchers predict that while offline retail sales continue to struggle, online retail will grow at a steady 19% year-over-year growth rate, from $95.7 billion in 2003 to $229.9 billion in 2008. Most significantly, the report says, online retail sales will account for 10% of total US retail sales by 2008."
Bill's Blog of the Day is - Gleanings (Elegant Hack).
"If you build websites, but you really don't know too much about information architecture (IA), it can be interesting looking at how the organization of information on a website is perceived by Information Architects. Many of the articles on that page are great introductions to the field."
Further proof in the SEO pudding >>> Web marketing technique boosts Macomb tech firm
"Net Generation, based in Clinton Township, this year added "search engine optimization" to its Web development services after spending $600,000 in research trying to figure out how search engines work.
Through keyword recognization and other coding, search engine optimization helps companies target people who are looking for particular products on the Web instead of mass marketing to a general audience. The service has helped Net Generation more than double sales." (boldface is my reckless doing.)
We told you so!!!
