Web Rank’s “Search Engine Compatibility and the Top 100 New Zealand Company Web Sites” has hit the media outlets and may be surprising to some but not to me. I worked with many web design teams or companies that don't have a working knowledge of SEO nor are willing to incorporate optimization techniques into their pages. One web design company designed their sites completely as graphics! No text. The content is first converted to an image and then put on the page.
Kalena Jordan, of WebRank, says "Websites are often a very large expense for these companies, ranging from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars. To invest such a massive amount of time, money and effort into an online presence and not ensuring it can be found [in search engines] is like constructing a storefront without any doors." Never gave it much thought before today, but some health clubs in the US are forced for ban cell phones because the new ones that have cameras have been used in locker rooms and have become a privacy issue~! Watch your butt out there.
